Here it is September already!  Where did the summer go?  I hope that you are refreshed and ready for another year of music.  Band rehearsal are starting back up this week, so make sure that you are there!

Planning is under way for our final concert of the year.  CHSS Music will present Crossroads, on Thursday, May 26th @ 7 pm in the large gym.  Tickets are available in advance from any music student for $5.

For our first Friday back to school after March Break (Friday, March 25th), senior jazz band members are reminded that we agreed to play for this event earlier in the fall.  This event takes place at the Blyth Festival Theatre, and is a celebration of all our  youth do to help out our local and global communities.  Parents, siblings, and friends are welcome to come and take part in the evening.  Doors open at 7:30 pm to view displays and the evening presentations begin at 8:00 pm.  Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.

We need to load and take all of our amps, piano, drums and stands.  Please let me know if you can help out with transporting equipment or car pooling other jazz band members.  We need to be in Blyth at 7pm, to unload and get ready to play.  We will be playing from 7:30 ish until 8:00 pm and then our CHSS presentation is scheduled for 9:35-9:50 pm. Meagan will speak and Ben will also sing and we will play 1 or 2 pieces.  We should be able to pack up after this presentation and return equipment to the school.

Uniforms need to be worn.  See Mrs. Haines if you have any questions.
